This article shows owners and admins how to publish a waiver that clients sign electronically. Once it's required, clients can't book on your website or in the Levflex app until they've signed the current version. Levflex records consent, the signature, the date and time and a fingerprint of the exact text, and emails the client a copy.
Warning: Levflex doesn't give legal advice and can't tell you whether your waiver will hold up. Always have a lawyer licensed in your state review the wording before you publish.
Before you begin#
- Your waiver text, or a PDF or Word (.docx) copy.
- A lawyer's review of the wording.
Steps#
- Go to Settings → Waiver.
- Select Upload waiver to import a PDF or .docx, or Use sample template to start from a sample.
- Edit the Title and Waiver text. Select Preview to see what clients see.
- Replace the sample notice if you started from the sample.
- Select Publish waiver. Publishing turns on Require a signed waiver before booking.
Update your waiver#
- Edit the text on Settings → Waiver.
- Leave Ask current members to sign the new version ticked if everyone should re-sign. It's ticked by default. Untick it for small wording fixes.
- Select Publish new version.
See who has signed#
Under Signatures, filter by Everyone, Signed or Not signed / re-sign, search by name or email, and select View copy for a signed copy.
Common mistakes#
Publishing the sample text#
The sample is a starting point. If it's still there, you'll see a reminder to replace the sample notice.
Turning off the requirement by accident#
If you see Your waiver is published, but clients aren't asked to sign it, select Require the waiver.
Booking unsigned clients yourself#
Bookings you make for a client aren't blocked by the waiver. Check the waiver on their profile first.
Forgetting minors#
Clients choose A child under 18 and confirm they're the parent or legal guardian when signing for a child. Check your state's rules with your lawyer.
Clients are asked to sign when they join and before their next booking. The client's profile shows Waiver status and View signed copy.
