Your custom domain isn't working

This article helps when your own domain doesn't load your Levflex website. Select Check connection on Settings → Domain first: the message tells you what Levflex found. Most problems are a missing record, a typo in the value, or DNS changes that are still spreading, which takes up to an hour.

Before you begin#

• Sign in to your domain provider.
• Open Settings → Domain and keep the record Levflex shows on screen.

Troubleshooting#

• Does Check connection say We couldn't find a DNS record yet?
  • Yes
    The record isn't visible yet. Check you saved it at your provider, then wait up to an hour and check again.
  • No
    Continue.
• Does it say We found ... which isn't Levflex?
  • Yes
    An old record is still in place. Edit that record, or delete it and add the one Levflex shows. Check the Name / host is just www, not www.yourgym.com, unless your provider asks for the full name.
  • No
    Continue.
• Does it say Your DNS is pointing at us — we're finishing setup?
  • Yes
    Everything is right. The certificate is being issued. Check again in a few minutes.
  • No
    Continue.
• Does your domain load but show not secure?
  • Yes
    The certificate is still being issued. It usually takes a few minutes after the domain connects.
  • No
    Continue.
• Are you on Starter?
  • Yes
    Custom domains need Growth or Pro. Upgrade on Billing.
  • No
    Contact support from levflex.com/help with a screenshot of your DNS records.

Common mistakes#

Using Cloudflare's proxy without flattening#

On an apex domain like yourgym.com, use the A or ALIAS record Levflex shows, or switch to the www version.

Typing the value with a trailing space or dot#

Copy and paste the value from Levflex rather than typing it.

Removing the domain to start over#

Removing and re-adding it restarts the check. Fix the record first, then select Check connection.

Your your-gym.levflex.com address works the whole time, so clients can still book while you fix it.
